Stretched canvas or linen (no canvas boards) Bring enough to paint at least 2 paintings a day. Sizes: 8x10; 9x12, 11x14, 12x16, 16x20,
Assortment of bristle brushes – grumbacher Edgar Degas filberts – 2, 4, 6 and 8 (two of each) or Utrecht filberts or brights.
Palette and odorless Turpentine (for WIFAS please only bring Gamsol)
Jar or can to clean brushes
Palette knife
Paper towels and rags
Oil paints: titanium white, yellow light, cad. Orange, cad. Red light, alizarin crimson permanent, chrome oxide green, viridian, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, ivory black
Optional: yellow ochre, transparent brown oxide.
Pastels
Large assortment , please no cheap sets. Rembrandt is good.
10 sheets of light oned (tan or greys) canson paper
Drawing board and clips
Soft paper towels – viva
Acrylic paints
Titanium white, cad. yellow pale, cad. Orange, cad. red light, napthol red or alizarin crimson, chromium oxide green , hookers green, viridian, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, ivory black.
Assortment of acrylic brushes, filberts, brights, rounds, small to med. Large 2-8.
Palette 12’x16’ ‘wet’ palettes or butcher trays
Assorted canvas gessoed panels or boards sizes: see oil
Rags and paper towels
Large water bucket and sponge
Optional for all:
8x10 layout bond paper for thumbnails
2 - 6 B graphite pencils
Kneaded eraser
Large assortment of photos to work from. I will bring plenty of mine but it is always better to have your own personal shots
