Vine charcoal or willow: medium and soft, in medium or large sizes;

Compressed charcoal: soft or 2B, 4B;

Kneaded eraser;

Pencil sharpening knife;

Drawing paper: medium tooth or smooth;

Newsprint (smooth);

Toned paper (a few pieces, optional);

Drawing board
