Description:
We will be painting in Pastels outside or in the studio.
 
Annette Adrian Hanna is a recipient of five Gold Medals in painting. In 2007 her work was chosen as one of 100 Best Pastels by Pastel Journal magazine. In 2008 her oil painting was chosen as a Christmas card and Calendar page for American Diabetes Association. She has been featured in American Artist magazine, Portrait Highlights, International Artist, the Best of Pastels II, and has authored a book on painting portraits in oil. She is a member of Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Pastel Society of America, Portrait Society of America, Northwest Pastel Society, American Artist’s Professional League, and teaches at Morris County Art Association in Morristown, New Jersey. She studied with John Howard Sanden and Burton Silverman.

"I love the act of painting, whether it be in oils or pastel. Painting people has always been a challenge and a fascination. Conveying a mood and suggesting inner thoughts, has always been the goal when painting portraits or figures in a situation. Every individual is different with their own inner life. Landscape and still life are also wonderful subjects. There is much beauty in nature and it is a joy to go out and paint it."
